I just ordered a set of 3 Lollar Blackface pickups for my Deluxe Player's strat, along with a new pickguard, but im a bit worried about the wiring. The Deluxe players strat has a button by the tone knobs that engages the bridge pickup in positions 4 and 5, and the pickguard is not cut correctly for the button.

I was wondering if it would be easier to either modify the pickguard to allow the button, or to just take out the button entirely (which i wouldnt miss, i never use it)

it would probably be easier to modify the pickguard. it would just be a drill job wont it?
