I just got a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone from my friend. and he said it worked fine and i beleived him. so I brought it back to my house and tried to work it but the little Light wouldn't come on. This is what I did( please tell me what to do if it is wrong.)

1. I put the cable from the guitar into the input on the Pedal
2. I put the cable that goes to the amp into the output on the pedal
3. I put the adaptor (male end) into the wall and the other end into the adaptor
place on the pedal
4. Pressed down on the pedal and it wouldn't light up

and i looked inside the pedal before I got it, and everything was connected and no wires were worn out. so how do I get it too work???

Try a different power point.
Try batteries or a different cord just in case theres something wrong with the wiring inside the cord.

No you don't need both. It was just a suggestion. There could be a malfunction or some kind of power distribution problem that you obviously wont be able to see.

Make sure the amp chords is in output and guitar one is in input. Make sure level is up on pedal. Light dies when battery dies or is low.
