Hi guys, I'm upgrading my old Yamaha's pickups, what would you get if you were mostly into heavy metal and Steve Vai stuff?

Seymour Duncan, EMG, perhaps Dimarzio , Jackson??

Help please

Best Regards

duncans or dimarzio. both are nice and both are great for metal. i would stay away from actives unless you already have them(which you dont).

well steve vai uses his own evos n breeds in his guitars so you might wanna take a look it those. It might or might not sound the same depending on your guitar wood and the finish.

Yamaha EG-112 with a custom Kahler Bridge, locking tuners and a Teflon nut and a LINE-6 Spyder, getting a Marshall soon dunno which = /

A marshall isn't the best choice for what you want to play. Amp before pickups, always.

Not for the price, especially for a higher wattage version. They're just practice amps, and anything over 30 watts is useless and simply a source of noise pollution.

Do you gig?

Most pickups are made at least partially of metal... but most pickups weigh like a pound. You may be out of luck getting a heavy one.
