Wrong. Go to Tab Talk.

Please don't say heavy then mention Slipknot and metallica.
I'll give you some real metal in the tab talk forum.

E standard is the fastest, it's why most black metal bands use standard...

the lower.. generally, heavier, not always though.

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?

Actually I see a lot of black metal bands using 2 steps down or just 1 step down.
Maybe it's just the newer black metal that does it? It's what I see a ton in black metal/black metal-esque bands

Why would you spend tens of thousands of dollars to learn about a language you already speak? It was over before it even started dude

I usually just stick to Drop D for heavy. I've figured out that drop D, usually gives it a depressing feel to the heaviness, while something as dropped as Drop C or B, it's just insanity heavy, not really depressive.

At least, that's how my writing comes out.
"We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment"

Tool, anyone?
Alter Bridge, maybe?
A bit of John Mayer?
Some beethoven sounds delightful, as well.

Opeth uses E Standard to make things heavy. Behemoth uses Drop Bb to make things heavy.

Wait, what are you saying?

Oh shit, any tuning can be used to make heavy music???

DAMN!

Serious?
I prefer Drop C or E Standard.
I used Drop A# and Drop B so that I could play some Parkway Drive, I'll never go that low again.
