Hello internet,

I've been bothering my butt of lately of my new strings. I've bought D'Addario Nickel Wound regular light gauge .010. But the problem is this: my E6A5D4 make a ringing noise when I play them, the lowest 3 don't. I have absolutely no idea what is causing that knows but I am really getting annoyed from it. (They didn't make a ringing noise before I changed them obviously)

I haven't done anything perticular with my guitar itself since I have changed my strings.

Help please :O

Thanks

are you talking about fret buzz? well, why not try to take it to a tech or a luthier?

Maybe your action is too low and the strings are touching your frets, possible your truss rod has an arch, not a bow. Possib;y uour nut might be far too loose for the guage (pffft doubt that).

But this is what I think:

Maybe your up there wth the fairies and pixies, and been on the piss a bit too much.

i think that happens to most new wounded strings....(thats what i've heard)
just try to stretch them well and the buzz will go away

play them a little, see if they work in, like said.

if not and they are rubbing against a fret causing some buzz then post back.

My Kimaxe has always buzzed on the open A string for some reason. I never could figure out what was doing it, wish I could help you out man. Could anyone diagnose my problem as well?

It's got an OFR and there's nothing in the nut that would cause this

yours would be a completely different problem. ^ you can start your own thread, or post in the floyd thread at the top of the page, but i'd change the string, or try wedging a bit of paper under the string in the cut of the nut first, see if that helps.

maybe he means the twangy, metal sound new strings make before you wear them in
