valveking 212 combo?
or valveking100 head + a cab

I was thinking about that to but does it need a noise gate/overdrive pedal for good metal sounds?
And what cab should i buy with it if i get the head?

Why not a 5150 or something? Or a used Recto or Mark IV if it really is about 1400USD you can easily get a used Mark IV or Recto or Fireball etc. etc. I dont understand why people would suggest a valveking with these amps possibilities.

The valveking does not need a distortion pedal, but if you are going to play live gigs a noise gate does help. (Get the ISP Decimator)
