I've been becoming a tone freak lately, and im trying to really tighten up my sound, would the mxr 108 ten band eq be a good thing to buy?
i'd probably get one used off ebay

Its a good investment. I dont know if it will "tighten" your sound but it will let you shape it.

If you're EQ'd loose, you'll sound loose anyway.

Yea the ten band is better. the kfk is stereo tho and will give u more input gain.

i thought the only difference was two outputs and a kerry king tattoo?
and i honestly dont need gain boost

Generally an OD in front of a tube amp is used to tighten the gain up.
