Does anyone know the length of those screws in the tremolo cavity? Im setting my guitar up for D standard/Drop C and I dont want to unscrew them. Its a jackson KVX10 with a licensed floyd rose.

On my strat they were about 3/4" of thread. More than enough IMHO.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

The ones that hold the trem claw? long enough...generally you could loosen the springs to the point that they have zero tension, so don't worry about accidentally taking them out...and even if you did somehow you could just screw them back in.

totally agree.

I have the same guitar, and it is set up to Drop C.
Very easy approach if you are restringing and then setting up into Drop C.
But the screws in the back are more than long enough. Trust me, easily 2 - 3inches long
