Hey guys,
So i mainly play pink floyd, i use a Mexican strat(debating to get either tex mex's/texas specials/69' custom's/) but anyway. i have a 20 yr old Fender 25A which i like but get a wacked out sound when u turn it up. i baught a Crate VTX200S, but i was told its garbage and i wont hear the difference if i swap the pickups. so now its unopened in the box.

now do i return it? and get something different, or is it o.k?

if not what do you recommend for around $400-500?

i use a little distrtion, flanger , delay and wah, so its important the amp can handle these as well. (cause my fender 25a cant)

thank you all,

DG used a hiwatt, but since that's out of your price range, any clean sort of amp would do.

Since you've got the effects, I'd see if you could get a used super reverb or twin. The chances of finding one in that price range are slim but if you can you'd be thrilled with it.

And on budget the Vox Valvetronix amps are pretty cool.

They're kind of meh. I'd look into used one from a couple years back.
