Hey, just a quick question.

Basically, I can alternate pick pretty well, and keep a firm rhythm, with no problem moving around or anything except from switching strings.

Is it a certain direction I'm meant to do it from, 'cos I always end picking the string I was on again when I jump over creating a chord accidentally.

What I do at the moment is whenever I have to change string when fast alternate picking, I skip one 16th note (for example) so I can jump over with picking another string accidentally. Anway I can improve/practice this?

Yes. Practice not doing that. I don't think there's anything more to say.
