Sorry to say but that is terrible, needs ALOT of work

Inaccurate guitar playing makes me cringe like a cat clawing a chalk board =/

You need to work alot more on your technique before you perfect this song as at the moment it sounds very sloppy.

it's too slow... just play along with the record a thosuand times... then listen to the song with head phones and record...
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all

Ya. Literally just play along with the CD. you will eventually just get used to doing everything without thinking. Its actually a pretty simple song.
Life Sucks. Get over it.

I didn't record it with headphones...... just from memory (There's the problem)

The recording program doesn't mean anything, this song as well as the others in your profile lacked general flow. I don't understand why the hell you'd record from the memory if you don't know the song that well.. use headphones and this'll improve the overall flow. If you were to compare this to the original you'd see how you're really off in some spots. Use headphones when recording and theres bound to be some improvement.

How can I make it better? (thanks for the CONSTRUCTIVE criticism)

Well my first suggestion is you either need to play this with headphones or at least put a backing track with drums and bass in it. The flow of this song is pretty bad and the transitions between riffs really needs improvement. When you layer guitars it gets extremely messy, probably a mix of your mixing but also your playing. The riffs themselves also need work.. you're playing some of them wrong. Your playing itself was decent at very best, this song came out very very sloppy overall and lacks general flow and rhythm.

Check out some of my covers if you want

I re recorded it with headphones. I don't think it will be much better, but at least there are more instruments going on.

The riffs themselves are still messy, but this is an improvement. You paused during the harmony section.. could you not play that part or something? I don't remember but I'm pretty sure that isn't in the original. Also the bass could be brought down in the mix. It's an improvement over last time but you still need to improve the riffs.

I understand. I can play the harmony, I just don't know the fills.

Record over the original track or a background track, its alot easier to hear if you play wrong or too fast/slow.

Keep it up, the more you record and play the better you get
#19
thanks. I'm really working on it, and I imagine its a lot easier with a band.

Not necessarily, I'd assume you were listening to the drums and bass when you recorded this.. so playing with a band would basically be around the same as playing to your backing track.
#21
True. Well, I really need a better mic and I need to play a little better!
