Okay, so I have a Behringer head as of right now, and I'd like to get a new head.

I'm playing through an Ampeg cabinet that is 200 watts RMS and 400 watts power handling at 8 ohms.

I wanted to save up for a Markbass Little Mark II, which has output power of 300 watts (as well as amazing tone).

Would I have to be careful about blowing out my cab, or do you think I could easily pump 300 watts (or more?) out of my head without a worry?

I assume the cab is 8-ohms?

The LMII would blow that cab if you weren't careful.
Nope, no sig here.

The cab is 8 ohms, and has power handling at 400 watts.

The LMII, when at 8 ohms, has an output of 300 watts.

But the cab has an RMS of 200W, which means the LMII could blow it. You go by RMS when referring to wattage in instrument amps.

I see. I usually crank my Behringer all the way, which is probably around 300 watts, though.

You should be fine, Will the Lm2 put out what 200 watts at 8 ohms, So you should be fine. Cabinets work better when pushed a bit.
