I recently installed a Kahler bridge tremolo in my Kramer bass and let me tell you ITS ONE kick ass thing!

DOes anyone have a Tremolo on their bass?

I don't see where it would be useful, but at the same time I don't see how it could hurt either.

Wanna see one in action?

Anyway, the bass stays fairly in tune, as long as you don't pretend you're jacking off with the tremolo bar.....

To almost completely eliminate tuning issues with a bass tremolo, get a TEFLON NUT and Locking tuners.

Les Claypool uses one. It's in the John the Fisherman video I think.

isn't it in Lacquer Head too?

or I am I just being stupid again?

Billy Sheehan does the simple approach of just bending the whole neck, I suppose given the rarity of a bass needing some diving, most basses can handle a little of that.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

Pictures and sound clips (of your mod) would be appreciated. I am intrigued.

Les' first Carl Thompson 4 string is outfitted with a tremolo. Its also the one that has Geddy Lee's signature on the headstock.

Im jealous. Ive always wanted to put a tremolo on my bass. Ive always wanted to atleast play a bass with a tremolo.
