ok well i was looking at the "all the chords" sheet, and i saw multiple of the same chord, but with 1 less finger

Bm [2 2 4 4 3 2] (D Gb B) : minor triad
Bm [x 2 4 4 3 2] (D Gb B) : minor triad
Bm [x x 0 4 3 2] (D Gb B) : minor triad

which one is correct?
i know by theory they tech "all are"

but which one should i use for a song?

lol depends on the song and what you like, they will all sound good. all the same notes.

I play: Bm [x 2 4 4 3 2]. Easy to progress to when playing many barre chords and it sounds depressing enough :P

do the top one then, the bar chord

I don't like that low-Gb on the 6th string ... unless it fits your play-style, song
Also the 3rd shape u posted sounds ... poor ...
Imo, go with Bm [x 2 4 4 3 2]

theyre all the same, just added optional notes

nop, they're not any "additional notes" in there; all of them does "only" have D Gb and B in them

Chords don't sound 'depressing'.. Come on man you're talking about connotations associated with sound. It changes from person to person.. You want a depressing sounding chord, play a minor 9 in bar form. (looks like the Police 9 in Message in a Bottle, but first finger is barred).
