Hey UG,
Let me first off say that i thought this was a scam, but that was until I saw my friend with his Macbook Pro worth at like 2500 bucks that he got it off of for FREE off the net!!!

I got mine this morning in the mail....it only took 7 weeks, but was well worth it

I need to get a recording program, not sure what one to get, but like the macbook pro comes with garage band, which is decent but I need something with more constructible. theres no EQ when recording. the effects on the program are dull. i heard pro tools is good but im going to need a good reccomendation. you guys have any?

Get Logic. It's pretty comprehensive for home recording and smacks the sh1t out of Cubase.
