I think I would go for the RG, since I'm not really a fan of Gios (I have one :P)...

Well, they're ok as starter guitars, but I think the RG might be a little better. However, if this is not your first guitar, I would save up a little more, maybe to $300, so you get more of an step up, rather than a step sideways.

Gios really blow mannn

The only redeeming quality between that and the RG120 is the fact that the RG is an agathis body. I don't really like my RG, but I've played Gios, and absolutely hated them.

So yeah, def. RG. It's a hell of a buy for its price.

Gio's are not that bad!

O.k. I Lied... Go with the RG. Besides from my experiences the whammy bar is more useful anyway, and I will take a whammy over a non anyday.

neither. both have crappy quality. the RG321 isn't necessarily top notch but it is a solid built guitar. go for that. or try going used. i once found a mint condition RG570 with an Original Edge for $275 at my local pawn shop. but being a noob prevented me from getting it

once again if you go used you can get some nicer guitars with the money
