hi guys before i start i have tried the searchbar

right, i bought some heavier strings today for my ibanez acoustic, and i'm a bit worried about installing them. theyre 13's, and my others werev11s i think lol.

anyone got any help about adjusting the truss rod to save the neck from being damaged?

It's usually better to let a tech do the truss rod. There are some guides on youtube, if you really want to do it yourself.

You won't hurt the neck. It will pull the neck forward a bit and make the strings a little higher. I usually turn the truss rod clockwise until it is the correct height. Be sure to loosen the tension on the strings before turning the truss rod and then tighten them back up to pitch.
