Bearing in mind all the functionality of both media players, which do you think is better?

(And I'm not bothered about WinAmp or anything else here, just WMP and iTunes)

...I never put much thought into it but I know I hated iTunes when I downloaded it and I've always used Media Player.

I've just always used WMP
Just thought it was simple enough to use (don't listen to music much on the computer anyway)
Got an iPod (got it bought for me as a present) t'other week, and hated the fact that iTunes wanted a credit card number before it would download the album artwork ¬_¬
So... would WinAmp sync with my iPod?

Winamp has that function as well as about every single music player on Linux.

I never saw the point of media players. I just want to be able to download, sync, play and burn music.

Is winamp pro much better than the free version?

My biggest gripe is that they're all so exclusive. They've all got their own proprietary formats, purposeful exclusion of the other brands' mp3 players, etc.

ahhh capitalism.

I don't have an iTunes store account, so iTunes refuses to download the album artwork.
And its a bitch to put in manually.

So yeah anyway, onto WinAmp now thanks to The Pit

I don't think it's worth it for the extra rip/burn options that other programs do better for free.
