I've been testing out and researching for a new guitar for around 6 months now but I'm having no luck.

I have a crappy ESP EC-50 with a EMG select for the neck and a HZ for the bridge.
Both are passive.

I don't have a brand preference

I'm not wanting to go over 600$

I want some thing with a floyd that wont go out of tune every 5 seconds.

Needs pick-ups good for Metal. Mainly an Edgy biting tone like Metallica.

Fast neck good for soloing.

Something I can use for a few years until I've saved for a Mark IV =P

Thanks for your help

Schecter C-1 FR?

The neck might be a little fat for you though, but it has everything you want and is on sale for 400 dollars from MF.You could get that and if you don't like the duncan designed actives you could use the extra money to put in some blackouts or a pair of active EMG's.

may be a little over 600 but not too much if im not mistaken
emg 81 and 85's, grover tuners, original floyd rose, 24 fret, mahogany body, maple neck w/ ebony fret board. best for the money in my opinion
