How difficult is it to make a good noise gate, for someone with very little experience in electronics. Would it just be better to buy one?
Played an Artec (if I remember right) noise gate and it did the job well. Nothing you don't need, simple 2 knobs for output and sensitivity and the switch, true bypass, if it means anything to you. Looking to pick one up soon, saw it for around $40 US
If you want a review, there was one on Harmony Central, I just can't remember the model name, but it's there.

"Sir, I exist!"
"However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation."
