hey im choosin b/w a musicman stingray HH, a a fender custom shop '64 jazz NOS, and a marcus miller jazz bass
if i get one of the fenders, i'll prob install a sadowsky preamp in it

if the '64 jazz is really a '64 jazz jump on it! I'm not a fan of newer fenders but their vintage gear was amazing.

i dont think the stingray will get the vintage jazz sound
plus as good quality the musicmans are, i heard the detail on the custom shops are unbelievable
