(she's in her late 60's btw)and she asked if i would play my guitar for her so i did and she started telling me about how she has this guitar at her house that was given to her by her grandmother or something who traveled to this part of the country in a stagecoach at the end of the 1800's. the guitar is still in pretty good condition from what i hear(the case has only been opened a handful of times). anyway told me that she was considering selling it in like the 1980's and these two guys that saw the guitar wanted it really badly and offered her $300 for it, but she said she got the feeling she was being ripped off so she said no and kept it. good news is that she wants to give it to me so it stays in our family. i'm assuming that its a classical guitar cause thats all i can think that would have been around in the 1800's anyone have any guess what that might be worth?

tl;dr

im getting a guitar from my aunt that is at least 100 years old. anyone know how much something like that will be worth?

oh and i'm not selling it, im just thinking about taking it to an appraiser or something. like antique roadshow

EDIT: alright i realize thats not enough info, i'll be back with pics when i get them

alright, well i havent seen it yet, she lives like an hour and a half away from me and only told me about this last night. from what i was told its in pretty good condition, the case has some damage though. some nicks and scratches and her dumb bitch maid tried to clean the case once and kinda smeared the Wells Fargo ticket that was on the case. the guitar has hardly been touched though. i promise i'll get pics to all you guys when i get the guitar

Not to steal the thread but this summer uncle died(Hadnt really met him too many times though)

Anyways im he only one in our family who plays guitar so he gave me 2 guitars as heritage. One of them was from the first ever Ibanez RGs that had a trem system. The other one is a Gibson LP from 1960 or something like that.

They are both like new and i havent played any of them cause i dont know how much their worth.

How much do you think theyre worth?
My gear:

And it's not the same brand as the one threadstarter has. Which wasn't even the point. If you didn't understand what I meant with the picture you're just plain stupid in the first place.

Just because it's old doesn't mean it's worth anything, it could be an absolute piece of shit. It would be nice to have something that old and with that much use, but don't get your hopes up about money.
