So i got near on 600euro for christmas

So i am now officially in the market for a new amp. At the moment i am between:

Ampeg SVT450H 450W

or

Ashdown ABM 500 EVO III

Anyone have any experience with either... im afraid that the ashdown seems a bit simple, but i dont know what the Ampeg MOSFET is....

obviously suggestions of similar priced heads are suitable . I play alternative rock, and i need to be loud enough to compete with a 100w tube Vox and a soon to be orange rockerverb, but want to lose out on tone by being to quiet either... Help?

i've heard good things about the ABM series and i have a lower end Ashdown and its great. however id probably go with the Ampeg if i had the money

if you start to get the Ampeg, get the Ampeg B2RE instead.

its the exact same head, but its not in the SVT shell, itll save you a good $150(USD).

what kind of cab do you have?

this thread was misleading.....

woohoo aerodyne basses ftw!

also to the other dude, the b series of ampeg is lacking in quality, which is why they're so much cheaper
