Instead of the "Worst Generation of Music" thread, let's be more optimistic. What's your favourite generation of music.

I say the 80's.

I don't know, I listen to mainly to stuff from the '80s and '00s.

In contrast to the other thread, let's post pictures of sexy butts in here:

For me I'd say it's a tough call between the 60's and 70's but I'll stick with the latter.

+1, exactly what I was thinking. Metal started in the 70's though so I went with it cause of that reason, but it is a very close call.

A few years ago no-one would have said the 80s. It's funny how these things change.

I voted for 90's, but on second thought, I change mah vote to the 60's.

I seem to be missing out on this so called "awesome music" from the 80's.

I like me some 80's music, but if you think about it, the 60's were pretty much the big bang of all popular music we hear today.......

.....but the only 60's band I like is The Who

80s had New Wave music...which is pretty much the basics of about everything popular today.

The G-Funk Era in the 90's was the best. Know this.

In metal it's definately the best. In other genres not so much.

Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, the Thrash four, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Ozzy's solo stuff, Aerosmith's comeback, Guns N' Roses and a hell of a lot of great guitar players.

Even if you look outside of metal there were some pretty significant albums, Thriller anyone?
