i played the viper at GC with a jackson i thought it was the best modeling amp i heard it wasnt muddy i also liked the vox AD but it was kinda muddy too me

if youve got a bunch of good pedals go for the crate.
otherwise one of the good modelers.

If you have any pedals to use with the amp, get the Crate
If not, the Peavey

yeah the crate or the peavey but i would suggest that you save up just a little longer even for practice in your room.
