I don't have much money to spend but I am desperately need a cab for my Tiny Terror. I want the Tiny Terror to sound as closely as it is "supposed" to sound as I can though

I thought about getting a Blackheart 1x12 as it is cheap and "british voiced" $150 shipped. But I am just worried I will just put more money into it later and replace the speaker.

Or I can get an Avatar cab as close to the Orange cab specs and I will know I will like it, but that is $230...

For that price I can get a Marshall 1965A 4x10 cab in good shape.

I am leaning towards the Marshall because it is a good deal, but do you think I would really hurt with the Blackheart cab? I could probably pick up a nice EQ pedal too if I got that cab

I would get a Valve Jr cab (but I guess you can go Blackheart, although I think the Epi is cheaper) and maybe put a new speaker, although the stock ones aren't bad by any means.

I've played my Tiny Terror through one. There is a cover over the back and it is just a screen. And it sounded shrill.

I wouldn't consider that open backed, but I can see how someone would.

Anyways, if you didn't like the Epi cab (I still think it sounds great, but each to his own,) I doubt you'd like the Blackheart. If I were you, I'd get an Avatar. You can choose your speakers, color, and the construction will be excellent.

I've played through both. I def like the Blackheart better

The Blackheart has an Eminence in it, all of their cabs do.
Player, give me some brew an I might just chill
but I'm the type that like to light another joint like Cypress Hill

^Ya, but what's in Blackheart =/= high end Eminence.

To TS: I would just bite the bullet and get the Avatar. You would get excellent construction plus a high-quality speaker. It's just a better cab.

yeah, rumored to be identical to the discontinued Eminence Stonehenge.

The Epi has an Eminence Lady Luck

Unless I can get this used Avatar cab, I am picking up a Blackheart cab tomorrow.

Just because you can get something bigger for the same price, doesn't mean it's better for your needs. Just keep that in mind, more =/= better. It just means more. More space, more weight, more time, more speakers, more headroom, you get the point. Some good, some bad.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

^ gregs, are you even in the right thread? We're debating a couple 1x12 cabs.

EDIT: Oh, iseewutyoudidthar. Your talking about the Marshall.

The 1965A is also the biggest deal out of the bunch, I should just buy it and flip it and then buy a cheaper cab and have some spending cash. I know I will kick myself one day for not buying it. Good reviews on it too, its basically takes up the same room as a 2x12, fairly compact.

I vote blackheart 1x12. Should have been more clear, and I should start drinking now.

Edit: But if you can flip the Marshall, go for it.

^Umm, I said that about you being in the right thread, not euro. I saw what you were talking about, I'm just a little slow tonight.

EDIT: Please share your whiskey (or whatever the hell you're drinking) with me, after seeing all this damn family over the holidays I need a drink too.
