Well i want to get into the electric guitar world, i never play one before... So im a noob.. And because im a noob i have no idea what to buy.. I really dont want to spend more than $300. And i would like to get as much as possible for my money and possible eveything needed. I live really close to a guitar center and i went today and they recommended to following:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-IJM21-Mikro-Electric-Guitar-Jumpstart-Pack-500152-i1425848.gc

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-IJX30-Jumpstart-Electric-Guitar-Metalpak-104378153-i1372012.gc

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-IJX40-Electric-Guitar-Jumpstart-Package-518876-i1168525.gc

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-IJX121-Metal-Guitar-Jumpstart-Package-103945184-i1168768.gc

But like i just said i have no idea what the difference is.. i just want to learn... Thanks =)

Neither. I'd suggest an Ibanez RG321MH or a Yamaha Pacifica.

ya but ibanez brand new is costing around 280... if i buy the aplifier and eveything else ill pass my $300 goal the pacifica is like $150 would fit on price range.. Is it better than the IJM21? or the IJX121 that has really good ratings everywhere

I would take the Pacifica over the IJM anyday.

The reason that the IJX has good reviews is because people who buy it generally buy it as their first guitar, they think it's the greatest guitar ever made and don't notice the obvious build and sound issues. Then they post glowing 5 star reviews and encourage other newbies to buy it.
And it's ugly as hell.

Yeah. The amps that come in starter packs sound absolutely dire, and the guitars are not well made at all. That roland microcube is good for a beginner, and will last you a few years until you get bored of the sound. It comes with amp modelling so there's lots of variety in the sounds you can get. The Pacifica is just a great starting guitar. Nicely built and versatile enough to suit most beginners.
