So, I play a lot of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest...I'm trying to break away from my Spider amp and move on to tubes soon... I have been looking at the TS9 tubescreamer as my first choice when I get a better amp. I am hoping to move on to solo work and with that I want a nice thick tone. I have been listening to a lot of Vai and Satch lately...

Basically, I don't know what I should go with as far as pedals go, to give me a nice warm tone, but can still deliver some punch.
Well a TS-9 would do lots of great amps a lot of good, but there isn't much point using it on your Spider so hang on and Get a good amp first.

Because footstools are cool - UG's Classical Guitarists
agreed... then try out different pedals... tubesreamers aren't for every one... they're not that heavy either... Maiden would want you to get a jcm900 first, though.
