My easy conversion/backup method:

Download 'Total Video Converter' - This program will convert almost every media format to anything you want. (Video to pretty much anything, Music to pretty much everything.) I also converts DVD to any video format. (It can also extract Audio/Video, add subtitles, increase resolution/decrease resolution/quality, etc.) It costs money to remove the watermark, but a serial key is easy to find.

iDump: Self explanatory, just take music off your iPod and 'dump' it to your HDD.

That's my simple method, not as good as yours, but it works perfectly for me, and this way, I only need to two programs to keep my iPod up-to-date with mymedia.

Hi people.

I have a friend who is blind and due to all of the ipod type things made specifically for blind people being rubbish he uses ipod. (Sorry i don't know what type - ill find out soon and get back here). Anyway, It died. It has no marks or scratches on it but it wont start or charge. From the charger there is a strong burning smell, leading me to think that that broke. But i also think that the actual ipod is fried due to the fact that it was charged and now will not start or reset.

So does anyone know how i could help my friend contact whoever makes ipod? I have no experience, due to hating ipod and owning a cowon d2

I have looked on the ipod site and it just leads me round in circles!

If i do get a contact then i plan to give the email to my friend who is due to receive a computer soon, or ill just ask him to dictate a email from my address.

Seriously i would love you guys to help me help him because his life is s*** at the moment. And i don't just mean rubbish it is monumentally s***.

So please help

Thanks pit

PS. Sorry for the (bit of a) wall of text.

Time on earth is like butterscotch; you really want more, even though it will probably just make you ill.

Certain songs can't be played on my ipod for some reason. got 80 songs by Pixies on my ipod and whenever I press play it skips to track 39 or something. And then skips another 20 the next time. Any ideas what it might be that causes this erratic behaviour?
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash
