Yeah, it was a good christmas. I got like 300 euro total, and I have another 500 saved up. I'm trying to get some ideas as to what to get. I'm GASing for guitar gear, but nothing specifically.

I play metal...check my profile for my band to get a 100% accurate idea what I play. Check my sig for the current gear I use.

Any ideas are welcome, be it amp, rack, pedal or cab suggestions.

Go for it! Give me some ideas

*edit*

I had a request for guitar suggestions in this post, but I removed that and made a thread for it in the electric guitar forum...seemed more appropriate.

You best be trolling.

Maybe look into a 4x12 cab, OP? Also consider the following:

1. Wah pedal
2. Delay pedal for leads or if you ever want to make some trippy stuff.
3. Overdrive pedal to tighten things up if need be?

My TC electronics has some pretty damn nice delays, so I think I got that covered. I own a Bad Monkey OD, but I don't really use it. ENGL Blackmore is so rediculously tight, an OD doesn't really add much. I'll check what wahs can do though!

Those 7 strings are looking nice! I'll look into those for sure

I'd say check out some trippy effects, maybe an octaver or something weird... but don't spend too much on the individual effects because you will probably only use it for like one song at a time. Maybe get a guitar with an FR, idk your rig seems to be perfect for your music.

Id be tempted to shelve the G-sharp and upgrade to G-Major or at a stretch a nova system. they are far more versatile units just cos of the limitations of the number of active effects on the g-sharp.

Grab a midi controller or a decent wah and you should be set with a solid rig.

Compared to the other stuf that's available, I wouldn't say those wahs are particularly nice at all, especially given OP's price range. The only Crybaby wah that is all-round praised is the rackmount. Most people say that the regular Crybabies aren't very good unless you plan to mod them.

OP, look into the following wahs:

1. Rackmount Crybaby
2. Fulltone wah
3. RMC Picture wah
4. Budda

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Nah mate I'd say your gear > mine. The ENGL cab pwns the framus, and your TC electronics is like the big daddy of my G-sharp.

I hadn't thought of selling my G-sharp for a G-major though, thats something to look into.

I've been giving a maximizer some though, but it seems oppinions on those are really mixed. If I can personally find one to try, I will.

I don't think I'm really a wah person, but I'll check those out. Thanks!
