So for christmas I got a Laguna le122 and a Line 6 Spider 3 amp out of some guitar pack I was wondering how you could get a decent metalcore sound out of it of if I'm just barking up the wrong tree lol. Thanks for any and all help

Also, on the Line6 website, you can download a PDF file with a bunch of settings for the Spider series (works for Spider II or III). You can have anything from AC/DC to Metallica. They probably have settings for songs by bands you like...

best answer: GET A BETTER AMP
or scoop the mids, up the bass/treble and find a suitable high gain

How much wattage does it have? For metalcore, max out gain and treble, put the bass high up, lower the mids, and put a little reverb on it. Play the insane channel, too. Presto.
