It sould be in the circled thing shouldnt it?

Yeah it should. You could look up what it is in google and add it in but it shouldn't make a difference. It's merely a reference for GP.

they dont always put it , but that song is in E minor/locrian

How did you find that out?

Most of the time they dont...

You don't have to put one, so the author didn't.

Work it out for yourself.

OR

Click the fretboard or keyboard (above right of the metronome), then click "scales" at the top right of the thing that appears.
then click scale finder, scan from wherever to wherever (end to end probably).

So when I find out after using that method its E, to find out if its major or minor, should I play the chord (in this case E, listen out for the Ein the song and see if its major or minor?

And when I do it ur method (ginja ninja) it comes up with loads sometimes..

how do u determine which one it is?

Technically it's Eb minor
You're just gonna have to live with the fact that ppl are lazy TS.

~EDIT: 'how do you work out which one..?'
Generally the song will start on the note of the key, or if you're good you could try improv over the song in the key you think it may be. Also, keep in mind songs sometimes change key
