I am looking for a new amp. I was looking for something under (or at) $300. It want a least a 50 wat, or as abig as a 70wat. I have looked at many amps, but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

Thanks

What genres do you play?
Why do you need so much power?
Are you in a band or do you just play at home?

I play heavy metal, metal, hard rock
I though that it would sound better with more wats
I am not in a band

I got a 75 watt peavy vypyr for christmas it is a modelling amp but it gives a really good tone and was $250

higher watts doesnt give you a better sound though. you only need like 30 watts max if you are playing alone

Higher wattage does not mean better tone. (By the way, it's spelled watts.) And if you're just playing by yourself you don't need more power. Look into a lower wattage Peavey Vypyr or Roland Cube.

Ok. Thanks for the info, and sorry for the bad spelling. How many watts would you suggest?

For home practice probably 15-30. 10 if you're stuck in your bedroom.
