We all have it. That magical guitar tone we have in our head...the one we strive to bring to life. Well, I finally got that tone. After hours of frantically playing with it and bragging to all my friends, I've cooled down enough to think: now what? Is this it...do I never have to spend another penny on guitar equipment. In short...to those who have found the tone, did you stick with it, or did it change.

For those who are curious, my sound is something like a cross between metal-core and jazz. Heavy distortion, but at the same time light sounding. I use a lot of chorus and love to throw in a little wah. Here's my whole rig:

Hand Built Strat Copy -> Crybaby Wah -> Digitech Bad Monkey Tube Overdrive -> EHX Metal Muff -> MXR 10-Band EQ -> Digitech Hardwire Stereo Chorus -> Boss NS2 Noise Suppressor -> Crate VC 50

All in all, I think (Not Including Cables, the guitar, daisy chain, and pedal board), I spent $550 on the pedals and $350 on the amp, so only $900 on the whole setup. Best money I've ever spent. But now what do I do with my money...
Amps:
Crate Vintage Club 50
Epiphone Studio 10

Pedals:
Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
Digitech Bad Monkey Tube Overdrive
MXR 10 Band Equalizer
Electro-Harmonix Metal Muff w/Top Boost
Dunlop Original Crybaby Wah

Thanks man, and congrats to you too. It's just amazing to think that I can get this kind of sound out of an old budget tube amp meant for jazz/blues.
