I'm learning the slide guitar. does anyone have any tips or techniques?

also, if you know any songs that are good learnin's on the slide. let me know
Derek Trucks is an INCREDIBLE slide guitar player!! Anything from him is good, also anything from the Allman Bros. Can't really help you with technique stuff, sorry!
dust my broom is a good one in standard tuning

most slide stuff is in open tunings, so just pick one that a band you like uses, find what key the song is in, and try and imitate their licks. (if you're learning anything by the allman brothers, it's probably in A)
Gear Jammer by George Thorogood has a cool slide riff that's pretty easy to play. I think that was actually the first thing I learned with a slide.
