You attach your strings on it. And it alos shows the notes that you forgot just the minute before.

its a tremolo bar - aka, a whammy bar, vibrato bar and theres a couple other names. its what you use to make them massive 80's divebomb sounds, overused by mr dimebag darrell, and a couple others...

if you know what a bigsby vibrato is, imagine that, but a super-powered version.

its a double locking trem. a major upgrad to the vintage style fender trem. locks at the bridge and locks at the nut if it has the locking nut. they stay in tune better than your vintage trem. there are many ver. of the trem and others in the same style, such as ibanez edge, khaler, and a few others.

Ya, pretty much. It's not the "original" Floyd Rose, but it's pretty much the same.

The Kahler tremolo is NOT a Floyd Rose variant!

Anyway, a Floyd Rose is a s.c. floating tremolo. You can press the whammy bar down to lower pitch and you can pull it up to raise pitch.

noone seemed to mention this....But you can use a floyrd rose **** loads, ie Whammying the crap out of it, and it will stay in tune. Whilst on other guitars without it, using the whammy un-tunes your guitar

Only get one one if it comes on a guitar that you're buying.

You don't buy one and add it to whatever guitar you have. It's too expensive, generally a waste of money.
