Something that so many people don't realize... when your playing (especially with high distortion) you have to mute out the strings you aren't playing with your other fingers, or your picking hand to minimize all the buzz from the strings you release. It also sounded like you were picking faster than you were moving your fingers so maybe slow it down and try to get that in sync.
