Well I've been playing on a cheap acoustic guitar for six months now. During that time I've collected around 400$ and I'm planning to buy a new electric guitar. I'm a big fan of the White Stripes and the Raconturs (of Jack White to be more precise ) so keep that in mind. And feel free to recommend me an amp and maybe even a whammy pedal. If I said something stupid in the post don't get off on me too much

Ok, try this amp:
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Roland-Cube-20X-Amp-With-COSM?sku=487031
or a 30 if you want, but you'll be left with a cheaper guitar. Bear this is mind though, Amp > guitar. So i'll recommend the 30.

Since your starting off, i'll recommend these two:

or
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Special-II-Electric-Guitar?sku=518334

After looking at these, you might wanna go to the guitar shop near you to try them out first hand, even though you're not sure what to play. Take note of the feel and sound, which one you like more. Remember, it doesnt have to be what i recommend or other recommendations from our UG friends out there. Its your guitar, we're just here to give you our opinions, thats all.

I'll stress the fact that the Cube 30 will be much more important than a better guitar.

Cube 30X + Les Paul special II is a great bundle for a beginner =)
