Hey guys, I always seem to mess up with my first 1 or two songs when playing live because it takes me long time to warm up. Do you know any warm up exercises which can help me warm up effectively before live shows without wasting much time.

Stretch, always stretch before you go on stage.
Do some chromatic, string skipping and scale exercises.
Say 10 minutes of that, plus a minute of stretching, you should be right.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to put it, along with your other advice, into a book, the pages of which I will then use to wipe my ass.

On every string. And some improvising in Em-scale...

this. lots of it

stretch your fingers, interlace them, turn them palms out, and bend your wrists back, like some people do to crack their fingers. flail your hands around.

hell, even do push ups for no reason. play (unplugged before you go on stage) the first minute of every song so you know what you're doing, and the rest should come naturally, unless you're an epic failure at guitar.
