Multi-effects unit between the Digitech RP-500, the Line 6 Pod XT Live, Digitech GNX4, or a used Boss GT-8?

Just kind of wondering out of curiosity which one is best and why.

For amp modeling most, including me, would say the Line 6 XT Live.
For effects, the Boss is really good.

But, if you need both, the Line 6 is right behind the Boss in effects, in my opinion...

Line 6 POD XT Live is my suggestion.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

I used to own the GT8 and it's definately more complicated to use than the Pod XT Live.

XT Live, I prefer it over the Boss ones, but at that point, it's really preference.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I have the RP500 and really dig it.
I like the flexibility of the amp bypass model that allows effect only mode.
I also like the Whammy Pedal.

I dont know which one I like more cause I havent played them all, but I have use a POD just not the floorboard version and it was pretty nice and I have played one of the RP series, lower model I think, and it wasnt bad either... So I dont really know.

The GT-8 is quite good, but it's got a learning curve.
The XT live doesn't sound as nice to me but it's easier to use.
Digitech is crap IMO, at least the multiFX.
