I want to write rhythm and lead guitar parts for deathcore songs but everything I play sounds too similar to major deathcore artists. What techniques and theory should I learn so I can write diverse deathcore songs?

learn to mix and match melodic minor scales and not rely on dimisished sweeps and stuff to leads, thats what i do

use techniques from rock and metal and put a melodicdeathmetal spin on them.

i hate when i write riffs and they sound like other bands'.of course major, minor, and diminished are really important.also, don't just use open for breakdowns, playing a breakdown on 1 or 4 or something(depending on key) then playing it open sounds really heavy, sort of Veil Of Maya sounding.learning their tabs helped me.
