I'm looking to buy a new distortion pedal, could you please give me some advice on which one to get.
The sound i'm looking for is a fat kindof bassey sound that is high gain but not harsh on the ears. Under 100 quid. The style of music that im going for is everything from Blink-182 to A7x.

Gear:
Marshall MG100HDFX Head
Marshall 412B Cab
Hamer Sunburst XT Series
Vintage (the make) Les Paul Copy

I'd appreciate any help!
Cheers

Line 6 Uber Metal. you can pick one up for around £60 new.

They have three typed on Distortion on. Metal which is you classic 80's raw tones, pulverizer which is hi-gain slightly scooped, kind of like a Metallica Black album feel. And the Insane setting which is bassey and hi-gain, perfect for nu-metal kinds of things.

I'd go with the Boss Metal Zone or so. It seems to fit your needs quite nicely.

Dude, try this:
Go into any guitar gear shops nearby you, and try as much as you can in the price you can afford. I've done it, tried out about 12 pedals when I chose a BOSS MT-2. But I think this is the best method, because this way you can be sure you won't get misleaded, and got the stuff you are looking for!

LOL at the Digitech Grunge. There are no good settings because it sounds like **** at every setting.

Yes, I did used to own a Digitech Grunge (except was mine back when DOD was still in existence, but it's the same pedal).
