This may sound like a completely obvious and stupid question but....

I just noticed plastic around my pickguard...like where the pickups are and stuff.... is it supposed to be there or.. like what is it for? and is it bad if you remove it? cz I did.

It was just this sticky plastic seran wrap type thing. It was over top of the pickups and around the tone and volume buttons. the farthest it went was liek to the bridge. But I don't think pickup wax has to do with the bridge?
