is there a pedal that has similar tone to marshall jcm900 ?

i know that MI audio crunch box is like a marshall in a box, but is there some overdrive pedal with jcm kinda tone??

does the ibanez ts-9 tubescreamer has that type of tone?

Not going to matter if your amp is a crappy solid state... so what is your amp?

of course later on i am gonna buy a better amp, but now i just have to play with this...

that amp aint so bad, it sounds pretty good with pedals and the amps distortion is not that bad...

lovepedal makes a plexi/jcm 800 in a box i believe for around $150. at the moment it seems to be discontinued but he brings back pedals from time to time. ebay/craigslist would be a good source to look at. also i recommend looking at the zvex box of rock. its suppose to be a good marshall in a box sound

yeah but it is like a distortion isnt it?? im lookin more like an overdrive.

It is not a good idea to use an overdrive on a solid state as overdrives don't actually make distortion, they just boost the front end of the amp where the boosted signal distorts. You should just buy a new amp rather than buying pedals.

lovepedal plexi/800 is pretty good pedal but i there arent any new pedals on ebay.

i'm sure you will hear from many that the good deals come when you buy used. nothing wrong with it. i agree with other guy though you need a better amp. my father in law has that exact amp and true, the clean isn't that bad, the overdrive channel is horrid.

if the amps distortion isn't that bad, then just use it as you save up instead of wasting money on a distortion pedal so that you can get your new amp sooner

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
