Ernie Ball Super Slinkies. One size smaller than mine, I use gauge .10. For a beginner, those are probably great, and can bend easily. Also, since they're thinner, you get a lighter tone. Depends what you're playing, but they look nice

been using the superslinky strings for 3 or 4 years now... kickass strings...

I've tried playing them a couple times.. never did like them. The sound is a bit too flat for my taste and they always broke really easy for me.

I'm all about the DR tite-fits now. Sound is bright and clear, and I've never had one break.

Yes ernie balls are awesome imo Ive been using them since I started playing, I use power slinkys though they are slightly thicker than regular but i like em
