i bought a tc electronics nova system today, which i put through the effects loop of my peavey 6505+.

i was happy as larry setting this thing up, and came to the eq settings - i browsed the options and left the frequencies at the factory defaults. when i turned the eq on, the amp let out a deafening bang and crapped out.

now the amp won't turn on - the fuse is fine and all the tubes are in working order. it's been off for quite a while now, but the transformers feel hot as hell. i'm hoping it might have overheated or something and needs time to cool down before it'll work?

everything is a shot in the dark as i don't have a clue what i'm doing, so any suggestions or advice would be awesome.

cheers lads.

Just leave it to cool down, check it out tommorow. If it still doesn't work, then you may have just blown one of the transformer to leads wires.

I tried it out in store.

Great neck, nice n light, good tuning stability. Overall a good guitar. I didn't but it cause I generally only buy guitars over a grand now.
