So I just got a 360 on Boxing Day and I'm anxious to play Left 4 Dead online.
But I can't connect.

The way my home network is set up is:
- Upstairs has the main internet DSL connection (it's a modem+router in one).
- The main floor has a laptop which receives the connection fine.
- The basement is where my Xbox and Wii is at. (The Wii cannot detect my router and I do not want to get a wireless adapter for my Xbox right now).

HOWEVER, I set up a modem in the basement and connected the internet directly to my Xbox and tested the Live connection but I get "IP Address status Failed" on the Test Connection thingy. So I'm stumped right now.

Any ideas, Pit?
Thanks in advance

Gaming Thread I believe. And from now on use your basement for porn and fapping.
Tonight, we stagger out from the basement...

I had to connect straight into my homehub, Else I'd get the wretched IP issues.

You can only have one modem man

ya just get a really long cable and connect it to your router upstairs

EDIT: just get the adapter it's easier

Wireless Adapter.

It seems the only ideal solution.

My brother has similar issues, the netgear router down the stairs has the phone line, and my PC and Xbox and 360 and my other PC all receive connection from here. The laptop here also auto detects the wireless signal.

My brother on the other hand, is up the stairs, so there's no real way for him to get anything using a cable. His PC uses wireless and as does his Wii. So he'll have to fork out the £60 for a wireless adapter.

Get the wireless adapter for 150 bucks or whatever the hell it is in your currency. I've been 3m away from my router since I got my 360 a year ago.
