Ok, so I have a Michael Kelly Patriot. It has coil split humbuckers, controlled by push/pull knobs on the tone controls.

I want to replace the bridge pick-up with a Burstbucker Pro, which is just a 2 wire lead. Will it be easy to drop the new pup in and just wire it on to the volume knob where the current pup is going into it? Or will there be more extensive rewiring need to be done?

Thanks for any tips and help.

Ok... I wired it up... but the output is really weak... plugged into my Marshall, put it on OD1 with Gain to 10, and I got more of a jazzy fuzz... my Strat that's more of a jazzy sounding strat gets a better crunch out of the Marshall than this is getting...

Am I expecting a different sound than I should be with the Burstbucker Pro?

I'm guessing that you have a bad solder joint or a stray wire somewhere which is causing your hot signal to bleed to ground.
