So I've been playing solo acoustic stuff for a while and have mainly been doing originals but wanted to start incorporating more covers into the set. Any ideas?

some bands I like are dinosaur Jr. the replacements, the lemonheads, bob mould, I also really like frank turner. But I listen to alot some I'm open to just about anything.

Epiphone sheraton
Late 60's Univox High Flyer Custom Deluxe

Fuzz Face
Zakk Wylde Wah
Soma - The Strokes

I've never tried but I imagine it sounds nice. If you mean solo, play the rhythm. The chords
are G to F in the verses. G to Dm. Just figure out the strumming. Don't play the lead, unless its a full band.
"Lazy Eye" by Silversun Pickups (as seen on Rock Band 2) would probably sound good.

Anything on Beck's Mutations album would work (seeing as how they are all acoustic already).

considering you like dino jr and the replacements and stuff you should check out thurston moores acoustic album trees outside the accademy, its brilliant in my opinion and j. mascis plays on a few tracks if i'm not mistaken
I was planning on doing some stuff from mutations. As for lazy eye, I hate his voice. I respect the band but he sounds like a five year old boy. Thanks for the recomendation of thurston moore, I've listened to the album twice already.

I think Portishead's undenied sounds great on Acoustic - it can be a very powerful song to perform. With only 2 chords to boot (Cm and Bb) really adds a bit of icing on the aural cake :P

Also - She is suffering by the Manics really suits but would depend on collection of people attending - nice minor sounding song, which always seems moreso to suit an acoustic list

Maybe these aren't of your own style... just a suggestion, really

I don't always post on UG, but when I do, I post in the Pit. Stay thirsty my friends.
Add Faust ARP to the list of good Radiohead ones.

Mogwai have a few songs that work surprisingly well in a solo acoustic context, I cover Cody quite often and R U Still In 2 It works well too.
