I was putting on new strings on my strat, and I think ive gotten all of them good but theyre really twangy

i put on daddrio nickel wound regular light gauge i believe


someone please help

Are they tuned right? And I'm referring to E standard.

#1 - Tune to A440 E Standard Tuning.

#2 - Those strings have a tendancy to be slightly twangy at first. Give them a few days, and they'll loosen up to a much warmer sound. I have my guitar strung with them right now... and I thought the same thing at first. Now I realise strings take time to break in.

All strings sound really bright when you first put them on. I just live with it for a few days before my nice mellow tone comes back.
